Spinology is a combination yo-yo and spin top video. My only complaint about this video is that it is disorganized. The video starts off with yo-yos, then goes into tops, then back to yo-yos, then the credits are shown, then there is more yo-yo stuff, bloopers and important info. The video begins with Dale Oliver doing some two-handed tricks. After that he does reach for the moon using what looks to be a ten foot string, or longer. Then the Spintastics award system is explained. If a person is able to perform a certain level of tricks they can receive a patch for it. The viewer is informed that information on obtaining the patches will be given later on. Yo-yo basics are then covered, including how to choose a yo-yo, string length, making a loop, winding, throwing a spinner, and forward pass. Then a number of tricks (see list below) are demonstrated with the assistance of the other players. In between every few tricks several or all of the demonstrators perform various tricks and/or freestyle routines. One really neat regeneration routine was done by Cliff Coleman. What made it even better was that it was shot with a shoulder cam, creating a first person view. After this spin tops are demonstrated (see review). Then it's back to yo-yos. A number of picture tricks are performed. Then the credits are shown. After the credits there are a couple of bloopers which I thought were the best part of the video. After the bloopers the info about the award patches is given. Then there is more yo-yo stuff by Dale, mainly two-handed looping tricks. The video ends on a high note with Dale doing two-handed loops blindfolded. Overall, this is a good beginner video for yo-yos as well as spin tops. Trick List:
