Proyo Vid-e-yo

Yo-Yo Masters VIDeYo Series: Beginner & Advanced

Featuring: YoHans, Edward Giulietti
Hosted by: Keri Lynn Pratt
Running Time: 40 minutes
1997 Playmaxx

This is a beginner video despite what the title says.  Also, it's the only one of the "series" that I know of.

The video starts off with the basics, string length, string tension, tying the slipknot, changing the string, and how to open a Proyo yo-yo.  After this there is some Proyo hype where the current world records are shown (since broken).  Then there is a quick clip of the Proyo holster.  The video is broken down into two sections, "Seven Tricks You Need to Master", and "Advanced Tricks".  The advanced tricks are just more basic tricks.  There is also a segment on six different ways to wind a yo-yo (classic pinch and wind, side winder, quick start, the snap, engineer's wind up, and one arm bandit).

In between segments there are a couple of brief clips which were shot at the yo-yo museum in Arizona.  Not much was shown though.  During the end credits YoHans  does some two-handed looping tricks.  This is a pretty good video for beginners to learn from.  The tricks are demonstrated and then repeated in slow motion.  It would have been better though if a few more tricks were included.

Trick List:

1. gravity pull 9. creeper
2. forward pass 10. around the corner
3. sleeper 11. hop the fence
4. breakaway 12. skin the cat
5. walk the dog 13. flying saucer
6. around the world 14. three leaf clover
7. rock the baby 15. inside loops
8. eating spaghetti 16. man on the flying trapeze
