The video starts off with a look inside Dennis' yo-yo case.   There are a variety of Tom Kuhns, including Mandalas, No Jives, Smother's Wines, San Fransisco, Flying Camel, and several Diamond Specials, both maple and walnut.   Also in the case are some Duncan Wheels and Professionals, extra string, and band aids.

Dennis does some tricks including looping, ride the horse, shoot the moon and atom smasher.  He introduces himself while performing milk the cow.  He states that he is a yo-yologist, and the purpose of the video is to teach the viewer to become a yo-yologist.  He shows the different types of yo-yos, wood and plastic, and the difference between standard and butterfly ( Flying Camel).  He says he prefers a conventional wood yo-yo, in this case a Mandala, which he uses to perform all the one-handed tricks.  He goes over the basics, string length, tying the knot, string position, and winding.

The tricks are explained very well and demonstrated several times (see list below).  The video ends with "The Big Finish", which is just more of the same stuff that Dennis did at the start, plus a few additional tricks.  This is a good beginner video which teaches the basics.
