Each volume in this series is formatted the same.  Each video starts out with a few tricks performed by THP.  Then Dennis does his trick demonstrations, then THP do a few more tricks.   The tricks are demonstrated very well and thoroughly explained by Dennis.  His narration is a little flat and he could use some extra flare in his demonstrations, but this is an instructional series so I guess he took a straight forward no nonsense approach.

Volume 1, Cool Tricks, goes over yo-yo basics like cutting and winding the string (see photos below for trick lists of all four volumes).  Most of the basic tricks are covered in this volume.

Volume 2, Hot Tricks, provides a good foundation for more advanced yo-yo tricks.  Dennis demonstrates various mounts, dismounts, and rolls as well as several tricks and some regenerations.  Adding more confusion to the Atom Smasher/Split the Atom mix up, Dennis does a trick he dually names Split the Atom/Atom Smasher.  This is in fact Atom Smasher/Atom Bomb/Atomic Bomb.  However, he also demonstrates two variations of what he calls the atomic bomb.  His first variation is Split the Atom.   I'm not sure what his second variation is.  It's some sort of underpass/somersault combo.

Volume 3, Slick Tricks, features numerous picture tricks as well as twenty ways to rock the baby.  This volume was my least favorite of the series.  After a while all the tricks started to look the same to me.  I do enjoy picture tricks and think some of them are pretty cool, but I felt it started to get monotonous.  If you like to rock the baby you might want this video.

Volume 4, Ultimate Tricks, features two-handed looping tricks.   Dennis starts off by demonstrating various basic loops and around the world variations.  Then he goes into looping/around the world combo tricks like warp drive and sword & shield.  After this Dennis shows off his two-handed looping skills.   He covers most of the basic tricks.  I was disappointed that he didn't do one of his two-handed routines.  I really would have liked to see this from this National Yo-Yo Master.  And since the video is only 25 minutes he could have easily added a routine or two.  This video would be a good starting point for someone who is interested in two-handed freestyle

Click on the photo links below to see the tricks as listed on the back of each volume's box.  I would have typed them out, but I'm lazy.
