This book's strong point is the color photos (over 275 according to the back cover).  As a collector's guide the book has many short comings.  A very brief history of the yo-yo is given.  Also, the history of six manufacturers is also given, but these amount to only a few lines for each.  The yo-yos are listed in alphabetical order based on the manufacturers names.  For each yo-yo listed there is an accompanying photo, as well as the year(s) it was manufactured and it's value.

Some of the yo-yos are listed more than once, with the different color variations being shown.  For instance there are four Duncan crossed flags in the package listed (red, black, pink, yellow).  The information for each yo-yo is the same.  It would have been easier to list one yo-yo and mention it was produced in various colors, but I guess four were shown to fill space.

Also included is zip code and patent information.  This is provided as a guide to help determine the age of a yo-yo.  Not all of the manufacturers are represented here and by no means are complete product lines listed.  If you're a collector this book won't be much help to you, but I did think it was worth the price for the photos.
